Chris Karr
Chris Karr is a native South Dakotan from Tabor. Since graduating from South Dakota State University (B.S. in Business Economics) and the University of South Dakota (Masters of Business Administration), Chris has called Sioux Falls home.
While living in Sioux Falls, Chris has provided several services and products to the local community as well as internationally as a: business owner, an Accredited Valuation Analyst, and a financial consultant. His professional successes have gained him recognition as the Small Business Administration’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2009; a finalist for the SD Governor's Awards in Business excellence in 2008; and a Silver Telly Award in 2007.
Chris is passionate about bringing business education to students; in the past he has spent time in the classroom with Junior Achievement and teaching at South Dakota State University and the University of South Dakota as an Adjunct Instructor.
Chris believes that it is best to be proactive and that each of us has the ability to make a difference and affect the world around us. Because of his commitment to making a difference, Chris is active in the community and has served as an officer, board member or volunteer in the following organizations: the El Riad Shrine, the Masonic Lodge #130, USA Dance Chapter #2090, Junior Achievement, the YMCA, and is also a Graduate of Leadership Sioux Falls.
Like many native South Dakotans, Chris enjoys the outdoors; he is an avid fisherman and hunter.
